Interim Capital Finance Manager
CIPFA-Penna are working in partnership with a large local authority in the Midlands region in the search for an Interim Capital Finance Manager to support a number of high-profile and high-value programmes the council.
Working closely with Transformation Team, Project Management Office, senior managers and external advisers, the post-holder will be the key financial and commercial guide on multiple projects designed to improve the deliverability of several key strategic strategies and transformation objectives.
We are looking for a qualified accountant with notable experience of providing insightful financial and commercial support to multiple capital programmes, preferably in another local authority organisation. The suitable candidate will be a CIPFA-qualified accountant (or equivalent) with strong related technical skills (i.e. financial modelling, project costing, development of business cases, appraisal methods, etc.) coupled with good commercial and business-partnering abilities.

Interim Pensions Accounting Manager (PW/CB/FF10123) - London
CIPFA Penna are delighted to be supporting a local authority with an interim requirement for a Pensions Accounting Manager.
You will lead on the alignment of pension fund accounting and financial management processes and procedures and lead the interface with the Shared Pensions Administration team on financial issues.
The role provides direct support to the Head of Pensions and may be required to deputise as required, including presenting reports to Pensions Committees and Boards. The post will work closely with the other finance teams within the Shared Finance Service, as well as the Pensions Administration team, the Teachers Pension team and other teams such as HR.

We are working in partnership with a large local authority in the Midlands region who are looking for the support of an Interim Finance Manager to support a number of services and projects across the council. This interim assignment is likely to last for 6-months and is offered on a part-time basis.
The successful candidate will ideally be a fully qualified accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with demonstrable experience and achievements of supporting the broad arena of services in another local authority. The role will act as a deputy to the Head of Corporate Finance and will see the successful individual lead a team of Business Analysts, through a finance business-partnering model, in supporting key projects, workstreams and strategic objectives crucial to the overarching transformation programme the council is undergoing. It is therefore also important that someone brings solid leadership experience to the role.
